Frankie, the new guy in my bro's old apartment just came by to borrow the phone...I thought it would be a quick call, but it turned out to be like 7 calls over about 20 minutes.

I found out that he's renting by the week, and he asks to borrow $20 form me, even though this is the 2nd time I've seen him. I'd gauge his age at 40, and he's another scumbag of the same caliber of mike and mark. Needless to say he's not getting any money form me. Then he asked for a beer. I told him that I have water, Cheerwine, Pink Lemonade, and diet cream soda... he wasn't interested.

I'm going to keep my eyes open around here for the next 2 months. I don't trust this guy.

You're in pompano still, right? There's a bunch of those shady-Grady's.

Here in Chicago, our Pompano is called Uptown

Ah... I knew that you'd moved, but didn't realize it was out of pompano. That explains why you posted some pictures eastward on Broward Boulevard then, doesn't it?

Yeah, in parts of Ft. Laud, it's even worse than Pompano. But, there's a lot of good there, too. I like the main branch of the Broward Library there around US1 and Broward Blvd.

Ah.. then it's pretty much all good times. Except, I guess, for your shady neighbor.

I've got a friend who used to live 2 blocks west of the Performing Arts center and my cousin used to own the "buy-here, pay-here" car lot right across from it on Ave. of the Arts. It's a funny mix around that area.

hmmm..... seems a bit shady. if he were a kid, it might be explicable. but if you're 40 and acting in a way I would consider irresponsible for an 18 year old.... well. suspect

Yeah, it's kind of creepy... who knows, but I know that I wouldn't try to bum off of my new neighbor (or anyone) the second time I met him.
