Monday's morning meeting DRAGGED. A lot was said, but I fear that little was communicated.

mass transit trip planner for south florida. handy as all get out.

After a nice gab about "something to do with your hands, rather than smoking" resulted in finding these toys.

Stretchy Ape, filled with rubber beads! Water Snake! Ye Olde Popping Martian!

Moment of Lyric -

Waiting at the station,
waiting for the right moves,
waiting in the basement,
waiting for the right cues,
waiting in a daydream,
waiting in the slipstream

waiting...
waiting in the right bars,
waiting in the right shoes,
waiting in a fast car,
waiting in the airports,

waiting for my airmiles,
waiting in slow motion,
coming through the turnstiles.

And if you ever change your mind,
you know I'm hard to find,
and if you ever need someone...

I'll still be waiting...
Waiting with the orphans, waiting for the bee stings, they tell me that success brings,
waiting in the half light, waiting for your whole life,
waiting for an ideal...a low deal...a no deal, to play your stereotype.
And if you ever find the time,
you know I'm not far behind,
And if you ever need someone...

I'll still be waiting...
just waiting for a friend.
I say it's all right,
It's all right my friend...just waiting.

My Scotto-thermostat is broken... the house temperature reads the same, but my body seems to heat up about 10-11pm, right before bedtime, like the more tired I am, the warmer I get... especially noticeable as core temperature of my torso and the soles of my feet.

Free Comic book of 60's TV heroes! Herculoids! Mighty Mightor! David & Goliath!, Birdman!, er... Moby Dick, too.

Sorry about the lack of content this morning, dear journal... have a man and possum.

Wired.....unstuffage...AM..omg..gotta sleep but can't...
Lack of content???
You???
NEVER!
I love that guy with the possum...where ever did you find that?
Oh btw..thanks for the comfort you gave to celticdreamsinger..my ljr who was freaking out over the disappearance of Sarah..gosh it is so sad that kids run away or are abducted.
It makes me sick.
I think it helps just to get someone to respond when some authorities aren't moving fast enough..or seemingly so.
You are such a sweetie Scotto. We all need to have someone care.
Ok, now down to some content here.
I hate mosquito bites on the tender part of my foot between the toes and the heel..like right in the arch...what the hell was that bug thinking...torture the human???
The office toys....
I think I gotta get me some or at least I want some.
The ones that seem interesting to me are:
Slinky pop toob ????
Tangle red ???
The stretchy rubber chicken is a classic.
I got Ed some meditation balls but he wishes I'd play with his..ok...that was bad...I am sooo
ashamed..well...not really. Haaaah.
Huggles for you and Newt.
Oh, take some toys to the next meeting so you won't be stressed and last but not the least...
I am praying for you and Newt this hurricane season.

Tangle red is one of those things that makes the user look like he's stoned while using it. :)

Happy to help where I can... I gave a little nudge to the police, and offered them some free services... I hope they make use of 'em.

Naughty! :D thanks for the huggles... drat, I forgot to reactivate newtcam again!

Thanks for the prayers and the nifty linkie, too!

An old man walks into a doctor's office with a possum sitting on his back.
The doctor says "What brings you in today?"
The possum says "Can you get this old guy off my ass?"

Doctor says "We don't get many possums in here!"

Possum says "At these prices, you won't get many more!"

You could also have a lowgrade fever from your foot. When i'm fighting infection bedtime is always the time when I feel it most---which makes sense if your body is tired.
[info]scottobear wrote:
Jun. 13th, 2006 01:33 pm (UTC)
that's wholly possible. my feet were quite hot last night, as well as my core.

Maybe you are just an alien-type dude from a race when the men bear the children and you are ovulating. :D You want to have lil alien baaaaabiiiiies!
[info]scottobear wrote:

Keep your freaky human seed away from my ovipositor!

[info]blackhellkat wrote:
Jun. 13th, 2006 02:00 pm (UTC)
Honeysuckle? aaarrrrrrr As much as I like honeysuckle I'll be strong. Although it'd almost be worth it if the alien baby would pop outta your midsection---that'd be cool! Well cool for the person watching at least.
[info]scottobear wrote:
Jun. 13th, 2006 02:02 pm (UTC)
midsection? what are you, some sort of barbarian?

Children of my race are born fully clothed after punching the way out through the top of my head.

Fortunately, my brain and other handy equpiment normally found there have cascaded down into my ribcage, just to the left of my pancreas.

[info]blackhellkat wrote:

By Zeus! And yes I AM in fact some sorta barbarian---at least for the summer thankyouverymuch.
[info]scottobear wrote:

Sure, just keep on wearing your undies on your head, then!

That's true, the aboriginal island peoples we encountered in the Mediterranian mistook us for gods... they were awed by the simplest of parlor tricks.

(Zooeas was very popular with the ladies... they can't get enough of him, even as a rainstorm or a swan!)
[info]blackhellkat wrote:

Well see my barbarian ancestors used the underwear on the head to pay homage to your birth ritual. And now you mock it? Feh. I may just go back to normal human underwear consumption for now on.
[info]scottobear wrote:

Crazy barbarians.

While we appreciate the homage, we'd really prefer more of your delicious Hummus, Apidea, Baklavas, and Crepes with orange pudding and fruit.

well, the guy with possum nearly makes up for it i suppose.

oh, and the not smoking is going to have to wait an extra week. the steroid dose pack lowers my seizure threshold and welbutrin is good at giving people seizures. i'm not riskin that.

That possum pic is perfect for my geezer neighbor who is having a round number birthday next week. Thanks for solving my 'what kind of card do you give to someone who has seen it allllllllllll' problem. What nice old geezer eyes he has... the possum too

I tried to quit smoking a couple of days ago (& will again). I would smack someone upside with those things, if I were trying to quit...and that's all I had in place of a smoke. Hee.

You cut your foot?? What happened? Is it still healing on the outside, or??

I took J to the emergency room last week for a cut. Every night he has to show me how hot the area (large area of heat, actually!) is. ;) Maybe that's what is going on with you, too...but it's affecting the rest of your body too...err..something.
[info]scottobear wrote:
Jun. 14th, 2006 01:58 pm (UTC)
heehee.. well, choose something soft!

hooray for trying to quit the smokies!

Foot's still mending... but I can feel the heat where it's patching up. it's just a slice along the ball of the foot, on the leathery bit of the sole, cut through, to the soft bits underneath, and bled like a beast.

I'm doing ok, just a little discomfort on extended walkies now.
