Scotto's fun link of the day

A flashback to 1998 keeno Java-esque technology... Paul Clark reminded me of it.

Spiffy 3d thesaurus

The day began with a squeeze from my love, and then a pile of dung tossed in my general direction at work. Lots of folks under stress, much work augmented by the recent firings, plus people who either prefer not to communicate (or ar incapable of doing so). I arrive, and a swarm of irritating gnats begin to buzz in my ears. Only thoughts of Ornj are able to fend off the vile plague of their stress. I set wheels in motion, and correct problems with the west palm office, cert production, and missing Bheesham phone numbers. Poor Kev is suffering more than I am, as he's on the road, manually loading software to sites who have no phone systems of value.

Still a trifle agitated, but things are calming. I hope that Ornj gets her mail today... I get to do big time VAGG stuff this weekend, must remember to get my stamps, and other such stuff.

Thoughts of my most dear calms me... she's a touchstone, a beacon of joy in these murky seas.

Here I sit, contemplating a business proposition from one of my hippie-pals, Dave.

He wants me to go in partners with him on a venture. web-wise. My side would be ASP, database stuff, and his would be graphic design of a web site. My two reasons for giving pause are: 1- Working with a friend... I've seen a few friendships fall apart when put to the business litmus. I value my friendship with him much more than any business venture. 2- How much of my time will this take? Its going to be a profit-sharing thing, so no paychecks, just split rewards. I don't want a present-tense non-income to interrupt my search for present time money influx.

I know that I'll help him, at least. He's a good one with art, but the programming side is more my speed... Maybe I'll see if I can work on a consultation basis?

I still would like a good telecommunication gig.. Something to validate me getting DSL, and working in my boxers, kitten in lap. Anyone want to toss that job my way?

just heard - "Hold it right there, Whizzleteats!"

News for TMAN ... Robert is Fired as of Friday. (I guess he's not so lucky after all... we're changing all the locks and alarm codes after letting him go, too. )

Lianna's gone... another casualty of the transience of LJ... but, I have her Vagg address, so she still gets a little heart-shaped smile. :) I hope that where ever you go, happiness follows!

How I feel right now.

WOODSTOCK
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
by Joni Mitchel

Well I came across a child of God
He was walking along the road
And I asked him tell where are you going
This he told me
Well I am going down to Yasgur's farm
Going to join in a rock and roll band
Goin' to get back to the land to set my soul free
We are stardust, we are golden
We are 2 billion year old carbon
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden
Well then can I walk beside you
I have come to lose the smog
And I feel like I'm a cog in something turning
And maybe it's the time of year
Yes and maybe it's the time of man
And I don't know who I am
But life is for learning
We are stardust, we are golden
We are 2 billion year old carbon
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden
By the time we got to Woodstock
We were half a million strong
And everywhere there was song and celebration
And I dreamed I saw the bombers jet planes
Riding shotgun in the sky
Turning into butterflies
Above our nation.
We are stardust, we are golden
We are 2 billion year old carbon
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden

Took 97% of my personal stuff home form work tonight... I don't want to have to make 2 trips when I leave.

How many of you folks could care less about the coming Superbowl? I like the name of the new Maryland team (The Ravens), and the aspect of the Norse combat between the two names.. (Odin's Birds vs the Giants) but I've managed to completely not follow football for however long the season has run.

Digging JennyLee's broadcast tonight.. Ornj & I thrust into a weird melange of past and contemporary times..

Trippy!

Thinking again of how much I love Ornj.. she's so gear.
