Delay explained.

On Wednesday, August 6th, passengers can expect delays on all MTA Commuter Buses servicing the Washington DC area due to several street closures for the US African Leaders Summit. Consequently, several bus stops will be inaccessible. Commuters are asked to observe the following regarding drop-off and pick-up locations:

Routes 620, 640, 650, 909 and 950:
AM- Buses will drop-off as close to C & 21st Streets, NW (State Dept) as possible.
PM- Buses will begin route at 23rd & I (Eye) Streets, NW (Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro).
Note: Commuter buses will not board at C & 21st Streets, NW (State Dept) due to street closures around the State Dept.

Route 630:
AM- No change
PM- No change

Routes 902 and 904:
AM- Buses will drop-off as close to C & 21st Streets (State Dept) as possible.
PM- Buses will begin route at 20th & I (Eye) Streets, NW.
Note: Commuter buses will not board at C & 20th Streets, NW and 20th & E Streets, NW (Office of Personnel Management) due to street closures around the State Dept.

Route 929:
AM- No change
Midday- Bus will not make stops to 18th & C Streets and 18th & E Streets, NW.
PM- No change

Route 995:
AM- No change
Midday- Bus will not make stop at 18th & E Streets, NW due to closure of Constitution Ave from 12noon-2:30pm.
PM- No change

All other Commuter Bus Routes can anticipate delays due to an increase in traffic volume account of the street closures along and near Constitution Ave.
