Columbo: CANDIDATE FOR CRIME / Season 1, Episode 3 / / after faking a series of death threats against himself – senatorial candidate Nelson Hayward (Jackie Cooper) murders his own campaign manager.
To throw off the investigation – the candidate stages it to look like the gunman intended to kill the candidate himself, but mistakenly killed his campaign manager instead.

Produced by Project Wasabi – this audio programme is based on Columbo season 1, episode 3 – “Candidate for Crime”, featuring the voices of Peter Falk, Jackie Cooper and Katey Sagal.
Production Note: At about 26 minutes the programme – the opera RIGOLETTO is heard playing in the dental office. This music is part of the original TV soundtrack, as Columbo & Dr. Perencho are speaking.
The added narration leading up to this scene features the same music, carefully synched, so the music flows smoothly from narration into the TV soundtrack.

My contribution to this audio podcast is the accompanying Narration – writing, recording, editing, & weaving it into the existing TV soundtrack – altogether this project took me 2½ months, and I absolutely loved every second of it!
